Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood, and Teef - Review

For any Warhammer 40,000 fan out there, Shootas is the ultimate Ork excursion. Explosions, dumb fun, dakka, and even more dakka. Running through on normal difficulty as the stormboy class, I found weapons I liked, and a bunch I didn't. The game requires a lot of mobility to stay alive and a lot of the novelty weapons reduce movement/didn't have a large enough magazine or just flat out overheated within seconds and damage you. There's a lot of space here for weapon balancing if the developers are expecting you to really give the more exotic weapons a go.

Boss fights were fun, enemies varied a good deal from section to section and faction to faction meaning fights never got stale. Most of the fights were exciting and frantic, with only one of the mini-boss areas turning into a bit of a pain to deal with. Overall the game felt a touch short, but very memorable with plenty of fan service and exciting enemy reveals to keep you running and gunning. All in all, this is a tonally perfect Ork adventure, a great game for the 40k fans, and a fun intro to the quirky side of the universe for newbies.
